In a series of tweets, Michael Leone discusses the importance of stacking in Best Ball Mania (BBM) to improve the odds of advancing to the playoff stage. He suggests that pass catcher stacking and Week 17 game stacking are crucial to accomplish with as many quarterbacks on the roster as possible. Leone also mentions that an estimated Expected Value for any BBM III entry can be based on stacking characteristics. TL;DR:
Stacking in the regular season improves your odds of advancing to the playoff stage.
